A.A. (Art) appeals from a juvenile court order adjudicating his two minor children to be in need of assistance, placing them in their mothers physical care, and granting him only supervised visitation. He contends that because Ohio was the home state of the children and their custody was at issue in a marriage dissolution action pending in that state, the Iowa juvenile court was without jurisdiction under the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction Act, Iowa Code ch. 598A (1995) (UCCJA). He further contends that if the juvenile court had jurisdiction its findings are not supported by clear and convincing evidence and it improperly based its order on a theory not argued by the State. We reject all of these contentions and affirm the orders of the juvenile court.
